From Scotland to you ...
I'm just back from another amazing trip to Scotland! We went to the famous Edinburgh Military Tattoo where I was, again, in tears of joy at the end listening to the lone piper in the ramparts of the Castle playing his bagpipes under the night sky! We visited both Glasgow and Edinburgh, where the Festival was in high gear, then went on to many of the little nukes in Fife. Wee fishing villages, places I knew well in my childhood which brought back memories and stories. We stayed in St Andrews, the home of golf! Then crossed the country to Oban where we were in a fabulous B & B right next to Arduaine Gardens
. Ferries took us to Mull and Iona, where there are 48 Scottish kings buried, and we even got to take a small boat out on the high seas to Fingal's Cave on the Isle of Staffa where we clambered around on the stones and almost got blown off the top of the hill. Single track roads became common-place, and there was so much to draw!
